Christmas was always about family when Pat Turner Ritchie was growing up. Ritchie, a local historian who grew up in Fulks Run and now lives in Winchester, recalls gathering with her immediate and extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins at her grandparent's home.
Every year, Ritchie, who was born in 1952, said the entire family could depend on one thing: Grandmother would give each of her grandchildren the same gift.
